Paolo Andrea Deandrea, born in Milan, journalist and cartoonist, paints “Le Moschine” a small world that recalls the styles of American cartoons of the 20s and 30s with a mix of surreal, cheerful, grotesque and intimately melancholic feelings, transporting us into a farcical and tragicomic world.
Moby Duck blends irony and drama. The title plays on "Moby Dick," turning it into a comical yellow duck, but details like the bloody harpoons, scattered bones, and skull undermine the lighthearted atmosphere. This contrast between extravagance and suffering is recurrent in the characters of "Le Moschine", and invites the observer to seek other possible interpretations beyond the humorous game.
